Tough Track Help

Tough Track is brought to you by the team at Bear Tough Ltd.

Tough Track is the original Overland and Expedition vehicle telematics solution, protecting your Overland, Expedition, 4×4 or other vehicle with simple to install tracker accessed via your mobile phone or desktop computer.

To setup a geofence please login to your account via your internet browser, these settings are not currently available through the app.

1. Login to your account at my.tough-track.com
2. Select “Tracking” from the main left-hand menu
3. Select “Geofences” from the sub-menu top-right
   
4. Add a new geofence using the orange “+” icon.  You can either add a circle, polygon or route geofence.
5. Name your geofence, locate on the map and select the desired radius for your geofence.
6. The default “Home Geofence” can be used as a reference and edited as required.

2. Select “Tracking” from the main left-hand menu
3. Select “Alerts” from the main left-hand menu
4. Select “Set Rules” from the pop-up window
5. Select “Add Rule” from the pop-up window

7. Enter a rule name – keep it descriptive so it can be easily identified
8. Select your tracker
9. Select event type – in this instance select “Geofence entrance or exit
10. Select “Next”

12. Setup your notification settings.
    “Push Notifications” will send an alert to your phone app.
    “SMS Notifications” are not available and should be left blank.
    “Email Notifications” will send an email to your chosen email address.
13. Setup the alert schedule.  This can either be left as default so the alert is always active, or can be scheduled for certain hours of the day/week – for example, night time only.

15. Setup the geofence.
    Select “+Create”
    Select either a polygon, circle or route geofence.
    Input a geofence label.
    Select the geofence on the map.
16. Select “Save” close options screen
17. Select “Save” and your new geofence alert is active.

The Tough Track app is available on both Android and iOS.

The web browser is best used when setting up new alerts and notifications as it allows access to all settings required not found in the app.

Many vehicles can be viewed via your Tough Track login, each vehicle just requires its own unit.  Contact us for more units to be added to your account.

In summary:

Your new Tough Track Overwatch Tracker is suitable for competent DIY installation but please consult a qualified professional if you are unsure of any part of the process or operation of this device.

The unit requires only two connections to your vehicle; positive and negative power. These must be continuous live sources, not switched lives.

The unit is designed to work with 12v and 24v vehicles and is compatible with standard and “smart” alternators.

Choose a position to mount the tracker where the upper most surface of the tracker is facing the sky with minimal obstruction. The tracker is primarily designed to be mounted to the vehicle battery. Other mounting positions are possible but a qualified vehicle electrician should be consulted and the signal strength should be confirmed before permanently mounting.

1. Clean the mounting surface with the supplied alcohol wipe.
2. Remove the protective film from the adhesive pad and firmly press the device to the mounting surface.
3. Connect the positive (red) wire to the positive feed of the vehicle battery.
4. Connect the negative (black) wire to the negative feed of the vehicle battery.
5. Confirm unit operation by observing two blinking green LED’s on the uppermost surface of the device.
